Jewish composer, songwriter and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, was one of the most important figures in both the twentieth and twenty-first centuries of musical theatre and we are excited to be opening the Festival with a celebration of his music and legacy. City Opera Vancouver singers Jenny Andersen (soprano), Eva Tavares (soprano), Amy Gartner (mezzo), Cecilly Day (mezzo), Tainui Kuru (tenor), Jesse Alvarez (tenor), Jacob Leonard (baritone), Brandon Thornhill (baritone), will be accompanied by pianist Roger Parton. Concert Producer: Alan Corbishley.
Seating is at cabaret tables of 8, or bar tables (high tops) of 3. Don’t hesitate to book your group across multiple tables - in this intimate and flexible environment we will all enjoy the celebration together.
Chutzpah!’s live music programming is supported by a grant from AmplifyBC.
